DK Winery- Dvanajščak Kozol

Dk winery is in operation since 1996 whereas vineyards were founded in 1990 by the Dvanajščak-Kozol family. Among many families in winemaking tradition in Croatia, the Dvanajščak-Kozol family’s DK winery is among the younger winery out there.

Vineyard that covers 8 hectares in the prosperous place of Medimurje

The DK winery at Medimurje lies in a flourishing location with an excellent micro-location. Although not a winery with a long tradition of wine production and viticulture the correct elevation and climate suffice the vineyards with ample production of high-quality grapes. The appealing view of Medimurje hills is pleasing with chances of sight of the Austrian Alps. Blending some of the finest wines truly unique to the region, DK winery has been successful in maintaining its reputation as a prestigious winery. A unique way of wine blending techniques in the region along with the high-quality grape varieties produces some of the best wines in the region.

Blessed by climate and wine production experience

Dvanajščak-Kozol family is among the younger wine producers in Croatia. The grapes are grown out here and harvested with care to further blend them into tasty wines. The notable grapes varieties in the vineyard are Moslavac, grasevina, rhein, riesling sauvignon, traminac, pinot Blanc and pinot noir. The family feels proud of being the first winery in planting the pinot noir in the vineyards of DK winery. The vineyard spreads over the 8 hectares’ area in the Mohokos hill having the finest sunlight around. The wine elaborated from grapevine has helped Dk winery gain national as well as international recognition while their moslavac is famous for being an indigenous variety able to proper in the vineyard.
