Fresh wind was breathed into the winery

The tradition of viticulture in the family goes far back into the past. At the very beginning, it was based on old domicile sorts of wine, and the breeding form was old-croatian. By following and implementation of new technologies and trends, old plantations are renewed, and they brought in new, introduced varieties. So, at the beginning of 90’s the old vineyards were replaced by varieties that weren’t grown on the estate before.

One of the first wineries that bottled their wines

Vinarija Jagunić is one of the first wine estates of Plešivica region which began to bottle the first bottles with their own label and with geograpchical indication. The winery is dedicated to sparkling wines made using traditional methods, orange amber wines which are macerated for a long time and delicious white wines. By opening the Plešivica Wine Route in 2000, they renovated their old family wine cellar and started to build the wine tasting room very close to the winery. Devoted work, huge experience acquired through the years, innovation and professional development resulted in numerous wine competition medals, awards and recognitions within the association of winemakers, as well as on the national level.

All the groceries used in at Vinarija Jagunić are fresh and seasonal, and they pair up with greenery that surrounds the winery with nice view to vineyards

Some of the amazing grape varieties cultivated in the vineyards include Red Traminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir Riesling, Chardonnay and Muller Thurgau. The winery sells all their wines under Plešivica subregion labels.
