Nestled in the serene landscape of Plesivica in the Croatian Uplands, Vinarija Jagunić winery offers a unique blend of eno-gastro tourism. Here, visitors can enjoy the tranquility of nature, warm hospitality, and a delightful selection of local specialties paired with exceptional wines.
The Jagunić family has a long-standing tradition in viticulture, rooted in the cultivation of indigenous grape varieties. Over the years, they have embraced modern techniques and trends, rejuvenating old vineyards and introducing new varieties. In the early 1990s, the winery transitioned to growing grapes that had not previously been cultivated on the estate, enhancing their wine offerings.
Vinarija Jagunić is among the first wineries in the Plešivica region to bottle wines under their own label, complete with geographical indication. The winery specializes in traditional sparkling wines, long-macerated orange amber wines, and exquisite white wines. Since the opening of the Plešivica Wine Route in 2000, they have renovated their family wine cellar and constructed a cozy wine tasting room nearby. Their dedication to quality has earned them numerous awards and recognitions in both local and national wine competitions.
At Vinarija Jagunić, all ingredients are fresh and seasonal, perfectly complementing the stunning views of the surrounding vineyards.
Among the remarkable grape varieties cultivated here are Red Traminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Müller Thurgau. All wines are sold under the Plešivica subregion labels, showcasing the unique terroir of this beautiful area.

Write a reviewLovely wine tasting tour. Small boutique winery. Narrow road, as they all are in this area. We visited mid October, so not very busy; one other table occupied. Opted for the 30€ tasting course, including six wines, cheese, meats and delicious homemade bread. Very experienced and knowledgeable server; thank you Martin for your information, attentiveness and friendliness. English speaking was a bonus for us. Relaxed tasting; plenty of time to enjoy. Generous serving amounts. Interesting wines. Known for their sparkling, with an interesting range of three. Lovely finesse, very fine bead "danced on my lips". Of particular note was their orange wines, particularly the Traminer. Great nose, haven't tasted anything like it. Bought a few bottles. Delightful view from the terrace. Recommended.

The owner was kind, friendly and helpful. Excellent wine tasting and accompanying food as well, all locally produced. Enchanting view overlooking the vineyards, we highly recommend it.

A beautiful restaurant with friendly staff, fine wines and beautiful views of the hills and vineyards. It is definitely worth having lunch there as the food is home-cooked and the prices are reasonable.
