Domaine Wardy winery: a real family run business
Domaine Wardy is a family-owned and run winery and distillery located in Zahle with roots dating back to 1881. This is a region drenched with fine wine since the beginning of civilisation. A region that has continuously produced wine for more than 6,000 years.
On behalf of the founder
The story of the Domaine Wardy started with one woman named Wardy Rose Moussallem. Great-grandmother of the current fourth-generation owners, this remarkable woman was widowed at a young age and took over her husband’s orchards and vineyards. She was so successful that they renamed the land after her. This is her domaine; her land, her vineyards, and her wine. The four generations of winemakers who have run and worked at Domaine Wardy since then have all stayed true to their authentic Lebanese history and culture of winemaking. This isn’t a winery looking to emulate Old World producers but celebrate the millenia of Lebanon’s unique culture. The Wardy wines are all remarkably light, delicate, and elegant, standing in stark contrast to the characteristically big and bold styles of Lebanese wine.
Taste delicious single variety wines
They strongly believe in single-varietal wines with minimal use of oak to keep the varietal profile good, they are moving towards organic and vegan wines. Domaine Wardy is currently producing 4 sets of wines, 9 single-varietals and 5 blends (out of five blends, 3 are unoaked and 2 are oaked blends) and last set of wine is the Limited editions.
Domaine Wardy wines are as diverse, complex, flavorful, and authentic as all the ways you can enjoy them
The grapes come from vineyards spread across the Beqaa Valley. You can make this winery a delectable addition to your next gathering, dinner, or celebration.
