Domaine Wardy is a family-owned winery and distillery nestled in Zahle, Lebanon, with a rich history that dates back to 1881. The Beqaa Valley, known for its winemaking heritage, has been producing wine for over 6,000 years, making it a significant region for wine lovers.
A Remarkable Matriarch
The story of Domaine Wardy is deeply rooted in the legacy of Wardy (Rose) Mousallem, a woman of extraordinary strength. As a widow in the late 18th or early 19th century, she took charge of her family's vineyards and orchards after her husband was tragically killed. Her resilience and determination transformed her into a matriarch, and her name became synonymous with the family's identity. Today, we honor her spirit through our wines and arak, with an artisanal rose featured on all our packaging.
Single-Varietal Wines with Character
At Domaine Wardy, we focus on crafting single-varietal wines that highlight the unique characteristics of each grape. With minimal oak influence, our wines maintain their authentic profiles. We produce four collections, including 11 single-varietals and five blends—three of which are unoaked. Our commitment to organic and vegan practices is also growing.

i love the domain with its nice owners who welcome you personally and take the time to explain everything and make you enjoy your tasting experience.
As for the wine it is one of my favorites especially the sauvignon blanc and the merlot.

My experience with Domaine Wardy was excellent. I loved the outdoor seating and the conversations I had were educative and informative. The wine was great, I ended up taking a few bottles with me on my way out. I will be making sure to visit again. Highly recommended!

This brand has intensity of flavors and aromas, It is nicely balanced. In fact, it also has a smooth finish that lingers after swallowing for a few seconds & it is soft! Would definitely recommend it!

Wardy wines, arak, and vodka. Can't ask for a better selection from a single Lebanese winery. It is rich in history and elegant in taste. The depth of its experience dates back to the 1800s. You feel each drink with every sip no matter what the occasion, whether you are sharing a meal, smoking a cigar, or having a conversation with friends. Wardy is always there to carry you through and will never disappoint. The 2006/7 Private Selection wine is quite distinguished, and every summer I visit the winery, I find the taste more profound even in later years. The chilled Sauvignon Blanc is literally the perfect gateway to that magical place we call home. Whether I am in LA or NY, I always seek restaurants that offer Wardy on their menus. It is almost a ritual now. The winery itself sits in the Bekaa Valley, lush green fields guarded by prancing Arabian Horses. It is a site to be seen and experience. If you find yourself in Lebanon, drop by this authentic winery. Meet the generous siblings who will be more than happy to personally take you through the vineyard and share their amazing story. I had the opportunity to visit Domaine Wardy on numerous occasions and I have enjoyed every single one of them. The summer venue is very relaxing; sitting under the tent, sipping wine overlooking the arena with the beautiful Arabian horses. What made our visits so special (besides the wine) are the owners, who are very friendly and extremely generous with their time and knowledge. They took their time and talked about each grape varietal, how the wine was made and the aging process. It was a great introduction to wine tasting for my daughter. I highly recommend paying them a visit .... it's well worth the drive.
