Discover the first winery of Blanco, Texas
The Story of Esperanza
Esperanza started out from a vineyard of 1 acre. Where Merlot, French Colombard, Cynthiana, and Villard Blanc were planted. Established in the March of 2000, it was a dream come true. The winery was established in 2015 and became the first winery of Spring Branch, Texas, and that of Blanco too. Using the fruit produced on the estate, and supplementing with Texas High Plains fruit, Esperanza Winery has produced 6 varietals with multiple vintages.
Esperanza Vineyards
What started out with 1 acre of land has now turned into 5. The new land became home to new varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and Tempranillo. The winery has plans of further expansion and the addition of new grape varieties. So make sure you book a tour in advance so that it does not collide with the vineyard functions and maintenance schedules. Along with the present staff of the vineyards, volunteers are always welcome to help out with the vines, the fruit of their labor is always rewarded with mouthwatering foods and unlimited wines.
