The Moravian Legacy

Founded in 2012 by Lynne Majek, Majek Vineyard & Winery is a testament to the rich heritage of Moravia, Texas. The winery specializes in wines crafted from Blanc Du Bois and Black Spanish grapes, alongside a variety of dry red blends, Mourvedre, Barbera, and Moscato. This region was settled by Czech immigrants who brought their winemaking traditions from Moravia, CZ. Each family in the area has its own cherished homemade wine recipe, and Majek Vineyard proudly honors this legacy by producing wines that reflect the local culture and history.

Texas Wine Region

Texas is recognized as one of the prominent wine regions in the United States, boasting a long-standing tradition of winemaking. The unique climate and diverse terroir contribute to the production of high-quality wines. Texas ranks fifth in the nation for wine production, with many native grape varieties that offer genetic resistance for rootstocks worldwide. Visitors can expect to find rich, textured wines that showcase the essence of American wine culture.

Passion for Culture

At Majek Vineyard, we celebrate the joy of family gatherings filled with music, food, and the cherished Czech homemade wine. Our venue is designed to share this passion for Texas music, local artists, and fine wines. Enjoy our native sausage and cheese plates, attend our First Saturday music events, or simply relax with a glass of wine among friends. Our restaurant offers charcuterie boards from Wednesday to Friday, while our full menu, featuring appetizers, salads, and sandwiches, is available on weekends. We welcome families and pets (on leashes) to join us in this beautiful setting.

My wife loves wineries so we made sure to stop in here and see what it was like. We each tried 4 different tastings and we ordered some food as well. The service was a bit slow and they forgot part of our food order but overall it was a nice place. We bought a couple bottles of wine and enjoyed our time there.

Nice little winery we found on our way to San Antonio. The owners were super nice and the food was great. The wines were good but nothing spectacular. They have a great tasting room and lots of good outside seating when the weather is nice.

Spent a great afternoon with the Majek family at their winery. Cannot wait to return! Fantastic environment, tasting flights of dry and sweet Texas wines and a lovely charcuterie board to snack on while we sampled. Full menu... indoor and outdoor seating, vineyards on-site and friendly people who showed us the art and science of wine making. About 90 minutes from San Antonio and Houston and well worth the trip! Cannot wait to come back for live music and more!

Nice setting out in the country with both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor area set up under beautiful shade trees with grapevine gardens all around. The outdoor space is dog friendly. Wine samples and charcuterie board were nice. We also ordered crab cakes on a bed of mixed greens with a delicious, slightly spicy dressing. I marked down one star because they were out of the wine used to make two of their drink items. Altogether an enjoyable experience.

I was meeting a friend with dogs and this winery was perfect. Very pet friendly. While we could not go in the main restaurant - which I did not expect but there was a very lovely outside seating under some trees to accommodate us. I was just looking for a nice vineyard in the Texas country side and this winery was perfect and the wine we got was delicious. All in all if you would like to enjoy the Texas country side and have some wine in a casual setting,- certainly try this winery. And if you have dogs - they are welcome too.
