Karikari Estate is part of the Carrington Estate, which includes a renowned golf resort. The vineyard benefits from the region's unique climate and soil, producing full-bodied and distinctive wines. Our estate is planted with a variety of grapes, including Chardonnay, Pinotage, Merlot, Syrah, and Tannat, each contributing to our diverse wine portfolio.
At Karikari Estate, we prioritize traditional viticulture methods and sustainable practices to protect our local environment. Our grapes are hand-harvested, allowing us to maintain control over quality and selection. We closely monitor canopy management to ensure that only the best grapes, ripe and flavorful, make it to the winery.

Since 2008, we have incorporated indigenous yeasts in our fermentation process, enhancing the unique characteristics of our wines. Actually there was nobody to explain. 2 kind and good waitresses to propose 4 glasses each and the restaurant menu. The dishes were good and save the experience.

Popped in to Karikari Estate today on our way to Matai Bay. It was a great call. We did standard wine tasting and shared a Prosciutto pizza. Staff were very friendly and efficient, wine and pizza arrived promptly. Pizza was delicious and well cooked, fresh ingredients. Wines were enjoyable too. We have been visiting the area for many years and this was our best experience here. We loved the new seating area, good music playing and busy. Great to see the place well supported. Views were stunning as usual.

We had a great lunch here, kids loved the pizza and we shared the tasty seafood platter and great rose. Beautiful views and staff that put in a genuine effort to please, even on a busy summer day with holiday crowds. We are locals, and pleased to see management with a desire to improve. Will recommend.

Unbelievable, and such a Gorgeous view. A long drive, but worth it.. if you're up this way, you must take the time out to visit here. Good wine, good food, great staff, and the view.
