Vision of Krmes Family Winery

For years, the Krmes family cultivated vines in their garden, crafting wine for personal enjoyment. Their wines were unique—never causing headaches and made without pesticides or artificial fertilizers. This passion led to the dream of establishing a winery capable of producing these exceptional wines on a larger scale. In pursuit of this dream, they constructed a classic vaulted cellar to house their future creations.

In the spring of 2017, they planted their first hectare of vineyard. Committed to ecological wine-growing, they avoid pesticides, allowing for the cultivation of healthy grapes. This approach results in wines that are naturally expressive, free from chemical additives and artificial yeast.

Vineyard at Krmes

The Krmes vineyard features three grape varieties: Palava and Rizling Rynsky (both white wines) and Pinot Noir (red and rosé). The family experiments with white wines to enhance their aroma, flavor, and color. When conditions align, they create exquisite cuvées that showcase the best of their grapes.

Wine Tasting and Tours at Krmes Winery

Visitors to the Krmes family winery can enjoy guided tours of the vineyard and the historic cellar, built with bricks from the 18th century, originally used for the Palfy Castle in the village. Guests will learn about the family’s sustainable wine-growing practices, taste a variety of wines, and experience how each vintage offers a unique flavor profile based on the year of production.
