A Winery that Has Seen Years of WineMaking
The Rumpf Family through years of experiment and viticulture have emerged as stronger and knowledgeable when it comes to winemaking and you can taste in their wines. Stefan Rumpf was the first winery to plant Chardonnay near the site in the beginning of the 1980s. And many such successful experiments lead them to where they are today.
A Variety of Grapes Call Their Terroirs Home
Weingut Kruger Rumpf provides the ideal setting and the terroirs for grapes to grow in. grapes like Riesling, Pinot blanc, Pinot gris, Pinot noir, Chardonnay settle here for good and Rieslings are the speciality of this winery. Riesling Burgberg GG and Riesling In Pitterberg GG of the Weingut Kruger Rumpf are internationally highly rated wines.
A Holistic Approach for the Future
Weingut Kruger Rumpf operates in such a way that they use as little energy, water and nutrients as possible from outside. They produce their own compost. And in 2013, they redesigned their vineyard terraces to enhance greening and cattle rearing. It made sense because the Rumpf family has studied agricultural sciences in the past, including the keeping and breeding of farm animals.
