Crafting Exceptional Wines from 16 Unique Vineyards
Maculan: A Legacy of Winemaking
Maculan Winery, a proud family-owned establishment, has been crafting fine wines for three generations. Nestled in the picturesque village of Breganze, this winery benefits from the fertile lands at the foot of the Asiago Plateau. Spanning 40 hectares, the vineyards and olive groves thrive in this ideal climate. One of the standout vineyards is located in Fortelongo, just north of Breganze, while another flagship vineyard lies between Santo Stefano and Ferrata.
Optimal Terroir for Diverse Vines
The rolling hills of Breganze create a perfect environment for a variety of grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Nero, and Chardonnay. Additionally, the winery cultivates unique grapes such as Pinot Grigio, Tai Bianco, and Vespaiolo. Since its founding in 1947 by Giovanni Maculan, the winery has evolved under the stewardship of Fausto Maculan, who has passionately crafted a range of exquisite red, white, sparkling, rosé, and dessert wines.
A Family Affair in Winemaking
In 1987, the Maculan family expanded their vineyards by acquiring land in Brogliati Contro, focusing on producing distinctive Sauvignon Blanc. In 2007, Fausto's daughters, Angela and Maria, joined the family business, bringing fresh perspectives to the winemaking process. Today, the trio collaborates on various stages of production, ensuring that each bottle reflects their dedication to quality. For wine enthusiasts seeking to enjoy exceptional wines amidst stunning countryside views, a visit to Maculan Winery is a must.
