La Dama: A Gem in the Heart of Valpolicella

La Dama is nestled in the picturesque Valpantena valley, part of the renowned Valpolicella Classica region in Italy. This fertile area benefits from natural spring water, enhancing the quality of the grapes. The gentle summer breezes from the Lessini Mountains create a perfect climate for viticulture, making it an ideal destination for wine enthusiasts. Owners Gabriele and Miriam are committed to sustainable farming practices, producing organic wines that reflect the essence of their land.

Giampietro's Vision

The inspiration for La Dama came from Gabriele's father-in-law, Giampietro, who envisioned a winery that would honor the region's rich winemaking tradition. Established in 2006, La Dama features a modern winery where guests are warmly welcomed. Here, hand-harvested indigenous grapes are transformed into exquisite wines, including the celebrated Amarone Della Valpolicella Classica. The estate spans 16 hectares, with 10 hectares dedicated to pergola training systems, located in the provinces of Negrar and Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella.

Unique Valpolicella Superiore Wines

At the Cà Besi vineyard, La Dama cultivates unique Veronese grapes to create their distinguished Valpolicella Superiore wines. The Pozza Ferrara vineyard in Negrar is home to top-quality Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes, while the two-hectare Corbellari vineyard focuses on premium red varieties for Amarone production. The hills of Sant'Ambrogio, overlooking Lake Garda, provide an exceptional environment for growing indigenous grape varieties. A special vineyard known as “The Doors” features 35-year-old vines, contributing to the delightful wines of Valpolicella.

Very nice and well organized place. We booked a wine tasting and a picnic in the vineyard. Federico was very good at explaining the winemaking process and very nice tasting. We then ventured into the vineyards where we let ourselves be pampered by the tranquility. The only flaw I think was a price in my opinion a bit high for the services offered.

During our stay in the heart of Valpolicella we decided to visit one of the many wineries in the area and we chose La Dama Vini. We took a tour of the vineyards and the winery, which ended with a wine tasting accompanied by a platter of salami and local cheeses. The winery is beautiful and the wines excellent. In fact, we bought a nice trio: review of Amarone, Recioto and Valpolicella!

We booked the wine tasting and picnic in the vineyards at the end of August 2024. Very friendly staff. You learn a lot about the production, the grapes, etc. and the wines themselves also convinced me. I can recommend it if you are in Negrar.

Love and passion for making wine and being able to pass it on to your guests! Today we had a tour and tasting. Gabrielle took us through her story. The 1st generation of winemakers, along with her family, her story, that experience, can be tasted in the wine. If I could give 6 stars, I would!

We had a Wine Tasting at 11:00 on Wednesday 6th of August. Well what can I say about this place, I came into the tasting not liking wine as i prefer Whiskey, however I left with 3 bottles of wine. The Winery makes their wine all organic and without any chemicals what so ever so it doesn’t effect the taste. The Host was absolutely amazing, he took us around the winery explained everything and answered all questions we had, we felt completely comfortable during the tasting. Everything about this tour was 5/5 stars and our favourite one we’ve done so far. We would like to thank the Winery for their amazing hospitality. 100% recommended
