La Dama, Well Located in the Green Heart of Valpolicella
La Dama is situated in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, precisely in the Valpantena, a gorgeous valley of Italy. The wine region is enriched with spring water that enhances the fertility of the valley. Soothing summer winds, coming from Monti Lessini, cool downsthe temperature at night offering a heavenly experience to visitors. Gabriele and Miriam, the owners of the winery, carry out sustainable agriculture to produce organic wines.
The Vision of Giampietro
Gabriele’s father-in-law Giampietro gave the idea to start a winemaking business and later in 2006, the La Dama Winery came to life. The cellar of the winery, laced with modern technology, is a lovely place where the owners receive their guests and friends. In the cellar, manually picked native grapes are processed to produce the exquisite wines of the winery, such as Amarone Della Valpolicella Classica. La Dama expands over an area of 16 hectares out of which 10 hectares of land are dedicated to pergola and training system the cultivation lands are located in two provinces Valpolicella, Negrar and Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella.
La Dama Winery, Unique Vapolicella Superiore Wines
In the Cà Besi vineyard, the owners grow unique Veronese to produce the famous Valpolicella Superiore wines. Pozza Ferrara, a vineyard in Negrar grows top-class Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara, whereas a two-hectare vineyard, the Corbellari, is dedicated to cultivating red grape varieties for the production of top-notch wine – Amarone. The hills of the Sant’Ambrogio province, facing Lake Garda, is a perfect place to cultivate indigenous grapes. A vineyard named “The Doors” caresses 35 years old grape plants, giving rise to luscious wines of Valpolicella region.
