Care and Respect for Nature
We have the ownership of seven plots (each plot is between 2 and 8 hectares, totally 41 hectares) located on seven different summits of seven different mountains in the village of Porrera, Priorat. We manage our vineyards with great care and respect for the environment, consistently employing the latest practices in organic farming.
Wines of Marco Abella
We actually are producing seven red wines and two white wines in Priorat. All red wines are based on garnatxa and carignan varieties. The White varieties are Garnatxa Blanca, Viognier, Pedro Ximenes, Picapoll and Macabeu. We also produce two D.O Catalunya wines named Olbieta. Red Olbieta is based on garnatxa with a touch of carignan and Syrah. White Olbieta is a blend of Garnatxa Blanca and Macabeu. All grapes come from plots situated at high elevation near the Mediterranean coast not far from the Priorat region.
Award Winning Wines
Our wines have received important awards and high scores in a lot of countries (Decanter in England, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Vinous in the US, Bettane&Desseauve in France, Vinari, Guía Peñín in Spain, Wine in China Magazine in China).For example, Clos Abella was scored last year 97/100 at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2018.

Thanks Laura, for a great visit. We opted for the best option and tasted the single vineyard wines. Very expressive wines, really loved the 100% Garnacha, we had an awesome drive in the vineyard. Amazing views of Porrera. We had a good time.
