Parés Baltà is a family-owned winery with a rich winemaking tradition dating back to 1790. Located just 30 km from the Mediterranean coast and Barcelona, our vineyards thrive in the heart of Penedès. We are dedicated to nurturing our land to produce organic wines and cavas that reflect the unique character of our region, which has been devoted to viticulture for centuries.
Our commitment to nature drives us to cultivate our vineyards organically, a practice we have maintained since 2002, and biodynamically since 2012. Our estates are home to diverse ecosystems, thanks to our sustainable farming methods. We utilize a flock of sheep for natural fertilization and maintain our own beehives to support pollination, enhancing the health of our vineyards and the surrounding environment.

Fantastic wines and cavas from biodynamic cultivation🤌🏼 After an extensive tour of the vineyard and the wine cellar, we were able to enjoy some tastings in the sunny courtyard of the winery...all in all a great experience

A highly recommended experience! We have made many visits and pairings and the one at Parés Baltà has far exceeded expectations. Our guide and sommelier Carlos is worth mentioning. He made our visit very enjoyable and we learned a lot during the pairing, he resolved all our doubts. We will definitely be back!

I want to give a huge thank you to the Pares Balta team for making my experience and tour so wonderful. I found out about their wines because they are sold at my local wine shop in Brooklyn, NYC. The wine shop owner (Jannette) knew that I would be traveling to Barcelona to expand my wine knowledge so she referred me to Pares Balta. It was such a pleasure to visit because they all really went above and beyond to make my experience comfortable. If you are coming from the city center, the commute is pretty simple. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Florence who gave me a comprehensive tour through each area of all the vines (they grow 18 varieties which I thought was so impressive!). She walked me through a little history about the grapes (some are native to the area), terroir, soil and their biodynamic practices. Next, we went into the cellar and I got to learn a bit more about production of their wines and blends. The tasting was fantastic. The cavas are delicious and made sure to take a bottle with me back to my hotel. One of the owners, Joan came to say hello as well. It was so nice to spend time with them both. Felt like I was chatting with some old friends I hadn’t seen in a while. Overall just a warm and welcoming experience. I hope to visit again soon.
