Continuing a Legacy at Quinta dos Avidagos

Quinta dos Avidagos has been a cherished family estate since 1670. Today, the latest generation is dedicated to preserving this rich heritage while embracing modern technology. Their goal is to craft exceptional wines that reflect the unique characteristics of the Douro Valley's terroirs.

About the Douro Wine Region

The Douro Wine Region is recognized as the world's oldest defined wine region. The Douro River nourishes the vines, allowing them to produce ripe, flavorful grapes. These grapes are known for their sweetness and texture, contributing to the distinctive quality of the wines. Quinta dos Avidagos sources grapes from four unique vineyards, each offering its own terroir, resulting in wines that are both diverse and delightful.

A Diverse Selection of Wines

Quinta dos Avidagos produces an impressive array of Red, White, Rosé, and Port wines. The red wines are crafted from indigenous grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz, while the whites feature Gouveio, Rabigato, and Viosinho. These wines have garnered numerous awards for their outstanding quality at both national and international competitions, making them a must-try for wine enthusiasts.

Drunk such a super vintage. I'll see if I can get to Austria. Because the wine 🍷 from Portugal was a gift. Today really suited our occasion. Great wine from a great area.
