The Taste of An Experienced Winery
The founders of Sangenis Vaque: Pere Sangenis and Conxita Vaque, equally passionate about wine and the art of winemaking came together in the year 1978 to form this beauty that we can proudly hold in our hands today. Their knowledge in the tradition of vine cultivation dates back to the early 17th century and to say that they are quite good at it would be an understatement.
Believing in the Power of Organic Production
Crucial to the taste of wine, besides the type of the grape is the soil that it was brought up in. A family business, Sangenis Vaque has 15 vineyards that assuredly have the best soil and breeze so that the grapes can grow in the right kind of environment. The vineyard takes sticking to its organic production very seriously; manure from sheep is used in the soil here. The Founders also look forward to being certified as an ecological winery soon enough. The grapes are harvested with love by hand.
