Tenuti Fasoli Lorena- Winery in the Beautiful Valpolicella valley
Tenuti Fasoli Lorena is a winery and estate that was created from a family tradition that has grown since the 18th century. During this time the Lorena family patriarch settled in the beautiful Valpolicella valley to work as a sharecropper for wealthy landowners who were cultivating vines.
Brief History of the Winery
In the 19th century he purchased his own land and devoted himself and his family to the cultivation of vines and local fruits. During this time this large piece of land was divided into smaller plots for the growing of wines. It was during the world wars that the family stored their wines in large glass barrels that were walled up to prevent them from being destroyed by the army. After the second world war the construction of a new cellar began in order to relive the traditions of the family’s past.
Their Popular Wines
This resulted in a new era of vinification and the regrowth of vines of over 40 years old using the knowledge of the present and the gems of the past while preserving the natural environment.
It is because of this that the unique wines of Tenuti Fasoli Lorena have a traditional character that allow the drinker to taste the typical flavours of Valpolicella.
The most popular wines produced at Tenuti Fasoli Lorena are the Valpolicella DOC Classico, the Rubrum Caelum Siredeum, the Ayrton, the Lorraine 980, the Gold of Berto, the Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Classico Superiore and the Valpolicella Superiore DOC Classico.
