Authentic Family Winemaking in Valpolicella, Veneto
The Winery
Tenute Fasoli Lorena is a charming family-owned winery nestled in Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella, right in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica region. Established in 2015, the winery took over a historic vineyard that has been in the family for over two centuries. The team has transformed this land into an organic farm, focusing on native grape varieties such as Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara. The vines, cultivated using the traditional Veronese pergola system, are quite old, with the youngest being at least fifty years old. Manual harvesting ensures that only the best grapes are selected.
A Unique Terroir on Monte Baldo
One of the winery's standout features is its unique plot on Monte Baldo, situated at an elevation of 980 meters above sea level. This area, once a pasture, now boasts three hectares of Müller Thurgau and Incrocio Manzoni, cultivated almost entirely by hand. The result is a remarkable white wine that stands out in the region. Additionally, there are plans for another three hectares, with careful attention given to the steep, terraced vineyard and the hand-harvesting process.
Commitment to Organic Winemaking
Since 2018, the winery has been equipped with a modern cellar that supports its winemaking processes. This includes restored concrete tanks for fermentation, a dedicated barrique cellar for aging wines, and all necessary equipment for bottling and labeling. Tenute Fasoli Lorena has been fully organic since 2019 and is proud to be a member of FIVI, the Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers.
