Experience Exceptional Wines Crafted with Passion and Heritage
The Winery
Founded in 1987, Viña Männle is the realization of winemaker Heinrich Männle's dream to continue his family's winemaking legacy from Germany. Heinrich's father established the family business, Viña Weingut Andreas Männle, in Durbach, Germany, at the start of the 20th century. After relocating to Chile, Heinrich began crafting a variety of alcoholic beverages, including fruit distillates, liqueurs, and wines, all while honoring his European roots. After extensive research into Chile's wine regions, he chose Bulnes in the Itata Valley as the ideal location for his winery.
The Estates
Viña Männle sources its grapes from two distinct regions. Guarilihue, located just 20 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean, benefits from a maritime climate that is perfect for growing Pinot Noir, Moscatel de Alejandría, and Cinsault. In contrast, Quinchamalí, situated in the intermediate depression, offers high temperatures and optimal conditions for varieties like Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Petite Verdot. Today, Heinrich, along with his son and oenologist Martin Männle, continues the family tradition of producing exceptional wines that delight wine enthusiasts year after year.
