A Tradition of Viticulture Since 1775 in Ahr, Germany
Weingut Sermann: A Gem in Germany's Smallest Wine Region
Weingut Sermann is nestled in the picturesque Ahr region, one of Germany's smallest yet most esteemed wine-growing areas. This charming valley, located along the Ahr River—a tributary of the Rhine—boasts a rich history of viticulture and is celebrated for its exceptional wines.
Exceptional Sparkling Wines Await
With a legacy dating back to 1775, Weingut Sermann is a family-run estate now in its seventh generation. The winery cultivates approximately seven hectares of vineyards, where classic grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Pinot Madeleine, Riesling, and Pinot Blanc thrive. Each year, the selected grapes are meticulously processed, resulting in wines that mature gracefully in oak barrels.
The winery proudly produces wines from the renowned classifications of Altenahrer Eck, Dernauer Pfarrwingert, and Marienthaler Trotzenberg. A standout feature of Weingut Sermann is its premium sparkling wines, crafted using the traditional method of bottle fermentation.
In addition to sparkling wines, the estate also offers a range of red, white, rosé, and dessert wines, all made through natural fermentation processes.
Stay in Comfort at Their Guesthouse
Weingut Sermann showcases the best of the Ahr region, focusing on old vines and low-yield grapes that produce high-quality wines. The natural fermentation process imparts unique flavors to each bottle. Visitors can also enjoy a stay at the winery's charming guesthouse, where comfort and warm hospitality await.
