Winery Sonnenberg: in the beautiful Ahr
Elevated on the red wine hiking trail, winery Sonnenberg is located in the Bad Neuenahr region of Germany. The winer has its entire focus on the quality rather than quantity. It is a must-visit place in Germany with a bunch of exciting activities to enjoy, including wine tasting, hiking, and more. Here, you can organize your private and commercial events as well.
Green harvest for a higher quality
Norbet Görres, the grandfather of the current owner and wine professor of Ahr, was the first to introduce “green harvest” in the mid-80s. His only purpose was to increase productivity. The vaulted cellar has been renovated continuously over the years to ensure quality. Some of the famous wines of the estate include Pinot Noir red wines, combined with high-quality white, rose, and sparkling wines.
Spent a great weekend in the beautiful decorated apartments at the winery
In the vineyards, the latest viticulture methods are incorporated to cultivate a vast range of grapes. The vines include fruity, fresh Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Blanc de Noir, and Pinot Madelaine. Special attention is given to some of the rarest grapes, including Spätburgunder, Frühburgunder, Grauburgunder, Weißburgunder, and Weißherbst. Grapes are carefully separated manually, and only the good ones are used to make wines.
Right at the foot of vineyards in the old mansion of the Mühlens family, seven well-furnished apartments are located, built in Art Nouveau style. Each accommodation for guests is equipped with a TV, satellite, DVD, internet connection, and many other modern amenities. The roof terrace and ground terrace are where guests can enjoy their glass of wine while admiring the eternal beauty of Mother Nature.
Sonnenberg Winery also has a cosy, bouquet restaurant where tourists can taste mouthwatering local cuisines and wines
