Tasting Notes

Dry, Red wine. Very bold, intensive, full-bodied red.

Viticulture

It’s a very unique wine, as it’s made from pre-phylloxera grapes. Vineyards are on an 800m elevation on a very slight slope, with very hard clay soil. Vines are very low in height, around 1.3m height, and are planted very densely. All of these results in even smaller berry-sized bunches and increase the juice to skins ratio dramatically. That on its end increases the intensity and richness of the wine.
