Fantastic winery with an incredible view. The entire history and explanation that António gave was undoubtedly enlightening, all the Maçanita wines have a history of recovery and tradition of the Douro with a small modern touch of today. We tasted 5 wines and I highly recommend the experience. António was the perfect host and was always there to help and answer questions. One of our favorites was the Touriga Nacional Cima Corgo!

A wonderful experience. The place is sublime. We arrived by chance, worried about being in Pinhao on a tourist circuit. And what a joy, the train dropped us off at the station which is 10 minutes walk from the estate and we tasted the wines! Wines of remarkable quality, thoughtful and virtuous work. I recommend it 100%! Big plus: Antonio's simple and warm welcome!

Glorious afternoon

Arriving by train to the deserted Ferraō station, we took a slow 5 minute walk up the hill to this beautiful little vineyard. Before we even met anyone, we admired this well maintained operation and the stunning views of the Duoro valley around us! Greeted by Bruno, we we were treated to a super tour and fun tasting of 7/8 wines with ame snacks to accompany them. Bruno was an exemplary host (even giving us a great recommendation for a restaurant on our return to Porto!) Would highly recommend.

I love the wine at Maçanitas. The premises are easy to reach and very close to the train station. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The tasting is very friendly and the cold cuts and cheese platter is quite extensive. Thank you for the great experience!

had a great tasting with 19 year old henrique! son of the owner he had impressive knowledge of the grapes and wine making process! we especially loved the whites and rosè. definitely recommend stopping by for a tasting if you’re in the area!
