The Winery

A'Beckett's Vineyard, established over 20 years ago, is nestled in the picturesque landscape of mid Wiltshire, conveniently located between the historic sites of Avebury and Stonehenge. Spanning nearly 3.5 hectares, our vineyard thrives on greensand and chalky soil, benefiting from the protective shelter of Salisbury Plain, which contributes to lower rainfall. Our vineyard primarily features the classic grape varieties of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, known for their exceptional quality in this region.

The Vinification

At A'Beckett's Vineyard, we produce up to 18,000 bottles of wine each year, offering a diverse selection that includes still white, rosé, and red wines, as well as sparkling white and rosé options. All our wines are vegan-friendly, catering to a wide range of preferences. In addition to our wines, we also craft delicious apple juice and cider from our own orchards, providing a taste of the local terroir. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or a casual drinker, our offerings reflect the unique character of the South West region.

Had a great tour of the vineyard, heard all about its history and that of the local area and got to sample some of their delicious wines. To make it even better, they have a great range of different wines for you to buy and its all amazingly priced! A top spot to visit if you're in the area!

Stopped there when looking for a nice spot to stop for a picnic lunch. Parking on top of the vineyards, very knowledgeable and approachable staff, great wines, especially the Pinot - usually not my cup of tea, but wow, what a wine!

Stopped there when looking for a nice spot to stop for a picnic lunch. Parking on top of the vineyards, very knowledgeable and approachable staff, great wines, especially the Pinot - usually not my cup of tea, but wow, what a wine!

Would highly recommend a tour of a'Beckett's. The story, history and knowledge shared by Paul was fascinating. He was very welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting.

I got a couple of Whites and a couple of Rosé yesterday. The White is very tart and pleasent to drink if you like your White dry and sharp. The Rosé was very nice not at all as sharp as the white, smooth and tasty. Not had the Red for this harvest but due in August 2019. I'll be coming back for some more. Not the cheapest compared with Supermarket brands but the harvest is smaller and you get to speak with the producer. Free tasting at the Vineyard whilst you try before you buy.
