Arret Wines is a small, family-run boutique winery located in the heart of the Dolenjska wine region in southeastern Slovenia. We focus on producing characterful, drinkable wines that reflect our local varieties, landscape, and a hands-on approach in both vineyard and cellar.

Our winery is hosted by winemakers Rok and Maja, who personally welcome guests for relaxed, small-group wine tastings. We believe wine tourism should feel unhurried and personal, so each tasting is hosted separately for your booking and groups are never mixed.

During your visit, you’ll taste a selection of our wines, learn about the Dolenjska region, and gain insight into how we work as a small boutique winery. Our style focuses on freshness, balance, and authenticity, with particular attention to local traditions interpreted in a modern way. Several of our wines have received recognition at international competitions, including Decanter and Vienna awards.

Arret Wines is easy to reach by car and well suited for couples, friends, and small private groups looking for an authentic wine experience away from crowded tourist routes. Tastings take place in a calm rural setting, allowing guests to enjoy the wines, ask questions, and take their time.

We welcome visitors who are curious about Slovenian wines and interested in discovering a lesser-known wine region with a strong sense of place.

We visited Arret Wines in Slovenia today and had a superb experience. The owner’s welcoming nature and insights greatly enhanced our visit. We tasted five unique wines unlike any we’ve tried before. Their Gewürztraminer was the standout, truly exceptional. The estate also offers stunning views that make the visit even more enjoyable. Beware, you might end up buying a few boxes of their excellent wine to take home. Highly recommended!

Great tasting of excellent wines with cold cuts to snack while having an amazing view on a beautiful landscape. We are yet to come, for sure. Due to our tremendous enthusiasm for flavours, we also bought several wines to enjoy them at home for special occasions . Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful afternoon in such a beautiful location. The wines were delicious but it was also brilliant to meet Maja and hear how she and Rok are doing something truly inspiring. Building on Slovenia’s legacy of wine making is so cool - we left with quite a lot of wine but also huge respect for Maja and Rok.

A small but exquisite winery. The wine tasting was fantastic, and the homemade food was delicious. The winemaker passionately shared everything about his vineyard and his plans with us. The view of the valley and over the vines is breathtaking. We'll definitely be back!

Registration is required for a fantastic wine tasting. You'll need to rely on your GPS on the way there, but Maja's hospitality and the location are a real treat.

The wine was delicious. A completely different taste than what we're used to in Germany. We received a very warm welcome and helpful advice. We felt very comfortable here. The view of the surrounding countryside from the wine tasting was sensational. It was a wonderful afternoon. Thank you so much!

Excellent wines for everyone. From special ones like petnat to local ones like cvicek to classic red wine, everything is excellent. We had a wine tasting in the vineyard with a beautiful view and sunset, accompanied by homemade sausage and bread lovingly prepared by the winemaker family.
