The Kunej family has been growing vines in the Bizeljsko-Sremič wine region for over 130 years. Today, the winery is led by me, Aleš Kunej and my wife Emanuela, together with my parents and sister, continuing a strong family tradition.

Our 5 hectares of vineyards lie on the Sremič hills, including a historic vineyard once cultivated by the Trappist monks of Reichenburg Castle, who played an important role in developing local viticulture in the 19th century. Today, the castle hosts an exhibition dedicated to their legacy.

Alongside wine production, we also create our own handcrafted chocolate products. During your visit, you can taste both our wines and selected chocolate creations, including our distinctive chocolate wine.

For families and groups, it is also possible to enrich the visit with a chocolate workshop. For example, while adults enjoy a guided wine tasting, children can take part in a creative chocolate experience.

We welcome guests for guided wine tastings in a relaxed and authentic setting in Brestanica.

An extremely interesting presentation of the wine cellar and viticulture. In the past, cane growers and winegrowers, today wine is associated with chocolate. The show horses for me are Merlot and Blue Franc. In any case, chocolate wine is also interesting in connection with excellent homemade chocolate. With a snack, wine and a pleasant word from the host with a final poetic addition, a visit to the winery is a mini trip. I recommend!

Great taste from the drinks to the food. From the special wines we tried the red chocolate wine which is fantastic. Also popular with those who swear by white wine. At the tasting the best buckwheat bread we have tried so far. Chocolate is of course the best way to end the tasting. Kudos to the whole family for the whole story.

A great wine tasting. The hosts are welcoming, relaxed and pleasant. The whole atmosphere of the wine cellar is a real experience! I'm not usually a wine fan, but these wines blew me away, especially the red wine with chocolate. Also the chocolate pralines they make are really exquisite and a real recommendation to visit this wonderful place!
