Origins of Bodega De La Carolina
Bodega de La Carolina was born in 1923, and it all began with a ship journey across the sea. Don Angel Coasini sailed from the Italian region of Piedmont in search of new horizons and thus began the story of the winery. He did not come alone as he brought his dreams along with him, along with the proper wisdom and maturity regarding the growth and cultivation of grapes and winemaking. The family winery has been present since then in the gifted Canelones region of Uruguay and makes excellent, innovative wines.
The Winery uses Traditional as well as Modern Techniques
Don Angel Coasini used his methods and secret techniques to start the artisan production of wines. The family is now in the fourth-generation, and they continue to use the ideas and traditions of their predecessors to make the best possible wines. The Canelones region is perfect for the cultivation of vines as the temperature, climate, rainfall, sunlight, etc., are ideal. The soil works perfectly with other conditions and allows the growth of high-quality grapes for winemaking.
The Best Grapes are used to make Wines
The main grape varieties that grow in their vineyards are Tannat, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. The best grapes are handpicked and taken to the winery for further processing. The grapes are vinified to make red, white, rose, and dessert wines. The wines rightly reflect the quality of the terroir and also uphold the legacy left by the owner’s ancestors. Wine enthusiasts are welcome at the estate for a great time.
