Beautifully embedded in stunning nature
Castillo Viejo started its journey in 1927, and today, the third generation of the winegrower family is handling the administration of the winery. The winery is standing beautifully on three pillars – artisan knowledge, state-of-the-art technology, and quality management systems. Together, these three factors give birth to some of the delicious Uruguayan wines that express the exuding aromas and flavours of the soil and family’s winemaking history.

These grapes handpicked for producing top-quality artisanal wines, such as red, white, rose and sparkling
Castillo Viejo’s wine cellar consists of a wine laboratory where wines are quality-tested using modern technology. The owners use American and French wooden oak barrels for ageing and refining of grains, providing exquisite complexity to the wines.
