Chateau Burgozone is a charming family-owned winery situated on the southern banks of the Danube River in Northern Bulgaria, near the town of Oryahovo. Built on the historic site of the ancient Roman fortress Burgozone, the winery reflects a rich heritage in its name and architecture.

As the only winery in Bulgaria surrounded by a 100-hectare single vineyard, Burgozone produces distinctive terroir wines shaped by the region's moderate continental climate, porous loess soil, and proximity to the Danube. The winery believes that 80% of wine quality comes from the grapes, which are hand-harvested and meticulously sorted. With a commitment to minimal intervention in winemaking, Burgozone prioritizes sustainability and actively works to reduce its carbon footprint, all while being nestled among EU-protected natural reserves.

Golden Winery of Bulgaria

Chateau Burgozone has been nominated three times as the Golden Winery of Bulgaria by the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy. Its wines have garnered over 150 medals from prestigious international wine competitions. All wines are vegan-friendly and embody the 3Fs style: Fresh, Fruity, and Fine.
