Family Heritage
Chateau Dauphiné-Rondillon has been a cherished family estate for eight generations. The DEBAT family established their roots in the Rondillon terroir of Loupiac in 1798, marking the beginning of their journey in producing both dry and sweet white wines.
Rich History of Darriet Estates
The Darriet family's legacy continued to grow with significant milestones. In 1810, they acquired the CLOS DU CHATEAU DE CADILLAC. By 1927, the wines of Château Dauphiné-Rondillon were bottled and gained recognition, rivaling the esteemed Sauternes. Notably, the 1931 vintage was sold alongside Château Pétrus 1931 in 1935. The arrival of Guy Darriet, a chemical engineer and naval officer, in 1950 brought innovative environmental practices to the estate. In 1952, Château Dauphiné-Rondillon was included in the cellar of the French Presidency, "L’Elysée." The estate achieved Area Certification in 2009 and Level 3 Certification in 2018, reflecting its commitment to high environmental standards.

At Chateau Dauphiné-Rondillon, quality is paramount. The estate continually seeks to enhance its wine production by embracing new technologies and research. Philippe Darriet, a professor and researcher at the University of Oenology of Bordeaux, has dedicated years to studying the Sauvignon Blanc variety, ensuring that the wines reflect both tradition and innovation.

Having completed an internship there, I was very well received by all these passionate people and I have excellent memories of it🤩. Thanks again.

A perfect start to a weekend
We participated in a tour of the vineyard and tasted 6 wines. There were 3 of us, and our guide spent a lot of time explaining the wines, the regions, and a few treasures on the estate.
Picnic lunch (pate, quiche, salad, bread, fruit salad and a bottle of wine), accompanied by a long conversation with the vintner, this generation of a family that has owned the vineyard since the 1700s. Fabulous!

A perfect start to a weekend

Superb visit and tasting at Château Dauphiné-Rondillon, a family property in Loupiac, in the company of the owner Mr. DARRIET, passionate and exciting! Everything was perfect, the time allocated, the discovery of the castle, the barrel cellar and to finish a superb tasting with exceptional wines! A big strong point also on the possibility of buying old vintages, really showing the evolution of the wines and their very high quality. We will not fail to come back during our next visits to Loupiac! I recommend with my eyes closed! Absolutely a cellar! Thanks again

Illustrious house recognized worldwide, notably thanks to the manga 'Drops of God' by Shineuku. I did a tasting there with friends on the occasion of the 27th Loupiac and foie gras des landes days. Delicious meals were offered on site. We went from domain to domain by bike...! The best sweet white of this getaway
