Discover Château Les Valentines
Château Les Valentines was founded in 1997 and the vineyards cover an area of 35 hectares. They grow various grape varieties including Cinsaut, Grenache and Syrah with an average age of 30 years old vines.
The Winemaking Process at Château Les Valentines
Cinsaut is known for its light, elegant, and fruity aromas, Grenache, for its warm, inviting finnesse, and Syrah is famous for aromatic spice and red fruit notes. For red wines, they also grow Mourvedre and Cabernet Sauvignon. Château Les Valentines uses organic methods for farming and create three exclusive red cuvées including Bagnard, La Gourmande and La Punition. “Bagnard” is a blend of 33% Mourvedre, 33% Syrah and 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, and it is matured for 12 to 18 months in demi-muids. For “La Gourmande” the vinification process lasts up to 4 weeks, then the wine is matured for 12 months in French oak barrels.
