Organic Wines Crafted in Historic Cellars
Chateau Vignelaure, located in the heart of Provence, France, is renowned for its organic wines produced in unique underground cellars.
A Rich History of Chateau Vignelaure
With a winemaking tradition spanning over 2000 years, Chateau Vignelaure has played a significant role in the Provence region. The winery was among the first to introduce Cabernet Sauvignon to this area, achieving remarkable success with its inaugural red vintage in 1970. Following this achievement, Chateau Vignelaure expanded its offerings, producing its first rosé in 1992 and its first white wine in 2013. The winery continues to build on its historical expertise in winemaking.
Distinct Terroirs of the Winery
Spanning over 200 hectares, with 55 dedicated to vineyards, Chateau Vignelaure practices organic viticulture. The region's limestone-clay soil, enriched with stones and gravel, contributes to the unique character of the wines. Situated at an elevation of 350 to 400 meters above sea level, the vineyards benefit from a cool climate, allowing grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Grenache, Merlot, and several white varietals to develop a perfect balance of freshness and richness.
