Château Saint-Hilaire, a Wine Story Since the 18th Century
The Lapierre Family has been living and cultivating vines in the commune of Coudoux since the end of the 18th century. It was in 1935 when Jean Lapierre, a Navy Officer, decided to devote himself exclusively to the terroir, mostly planted with olive trees.
Château Saint-Hilaire – Passed from Father to Son
In 1952, Max Lapierre, following his father’s hard work, took over the transformation of the estate, turned it into a winery, and passed all the knowledge and love to wine to his son Yves Lapierre. Then over time, Yves created Château Saint-Hilaire in 1973 and became a winery owner, driven by the desire to produce a great wine. Their wines are among those whose richness is based on the originality of a terroir.
