Wines of Figuière

Figuière Winery is nestled between the stunning Mediterranean Sea and the majestic Massif des Maures in Provence, France. Established in 1979, this family-owned winery is now managed by the Combard family, who are dedicated to upholding a rich winemaking tradition. Spanning 85 hectares, the estate features 45 hectares of vineyards alongside 20 hectares of lush pine trees, cork oaks, and eucalyptus. The family is committed to producing sustainable, high-quality wines that reflect the aromatic richness and mineral character of the region.

Terroir of Figuière

The vineyard benefits from an ideal climate and unique soil composition, primarily consisting of shale formed from sedimentary clay rock. The soil's hues range from silver-gray to golden ocher, providing an excellent foundation for grape cultivation. Figuière employs organic farming techniques, avoiding pesticides and chemicals, and uses only organic fertilizers. The winery produces red and rosé wines from grape varieties such as Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Grenache Noir, while white wines are crafted from Vermentino, Sémillon, and Ugni Blanc. The terroir at Figuière is perfectly suited for ripening both red and white grapes, resulting in a diverse selection of exceptional wines.

Visit Figuière

Figuière warmly welcomes all wine enthusiasts. The tasting room offers a wide range of sustainably produced wines that cater to every palate. Plan your visit to the vineyard and cellar to experience the beauty and craftsmanship behind Figuière's wines firsthand.

Very sweet and dedicated staff. She was doing good in English and smiling the whole time. The wines were good as well, especially the white wine. Worth a visit !

Had the usual fantastic evening here at the restaurant last night. There is always a friendly greeting here and the food and wine was amazing as was the service, Emma organises everything efficiently with a smile, she and the team are very knowledgeable about the food and wine and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend the fish, beautifully cooked by the chef in their outdoor cooking area. Also recommend the happy hour between 6-7 where you get to drink the beautiful wines and french tapas. All this is served in the middle of a vineyard with superb views, it really is our favourite place. We left our house keys here last night and within minutes Emma found our phone number from booking and contacted us before we got home, thanks Emma, saved us a lot if hassle 😀. Someone on here commented negatively that they couldn't enjoy happy hour after 6-7 awarding it one star. This time is perfect to try the wines and food, getting a personal service at a quieter time. The restaurant opens at 7, I assume like a lot of places happy hour is to encourage trade at a quiet time at a reduced price, there is nothing one star here, its 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all the way.

We were there as a large group for a tour and tasting as part of an event. The guide was fantastic, he radiated his joie de vivre and love for the winery. He could only speak French but that wasn't a problem. Overall a great and interesting tour. Thank you very much for that! Afterwards we had a tasting in the vineyards, simply a dream (see picture). Personally I found the wine very tasty and high quality, but the price per bottle is 15-20€. Everything else is up to you to decide.
