Crafting Excellence Amidst Sussex's Rolling Hills

Located in the stunning medieval landscape of the High Weald, Highweald Wine Estate is celebrated as one of England's premier sparkling wine producers. Our award-winning wines are crafted with precision from vines nurtured in the region's ancient clay and sandstone soils. These unique soils, cherished for their ability to support both agriculture and wildlife, yield wines that are rich in flavor and complexity, making them a delight for any wine enthusiast.

Commitment to Biodiversity and Quality Winemaking

The High Weald is recognized as an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty,' and we take pride in being its stewards. Our estate provides vital habitats for local wildlife, including birds, bats, and beneficial insects. We practice sustainable farming to protect and enhance this beautiful landscape for future generations. Under the guidance of our skilled team led by Robin Langton, we blend traditional winemaking techniques with modern innovations. This careful approach results in wines that reflect their origins and offer a memorable tasting experience.

Love this place! The wine is delicious (we bought everything we tried) and sitting outside enjoying the wine looking out over the grapes was really peaceful. Was a fun walk from Ockenden Manor through the woods to Highweald (you'll need the OS map as Ockenden didn't have the route to hand) - strongly recommend this hidden gem.

What a beautiful place. Tucked away, hidden gem. Turned up having emailed the night before but we could have just walked in. Beautiful wines in the tasting. Had an impromptu tour of the winery. Mark and Tim were great eggs, funny and knowledgeable and great hosts. Down to earth, really warm hospitality. Highly recommend coming here.

We cycled from London to Highweald with the idea we would stop for a glass of wine and some nibbles before heading on our way (unannounced and not booked). We ended up staying almost 4 hours on account of the incredible hospitality and wine provided to us by Tim and Leigh. We had the wine tasting, which included all four fantastic wines they produce as well as a lovely charcuterie board. Tim even gave us a short tour of the vineyard. Couldn’t recommend a visit highly enough! Great tasting wine, beautiful views, friendly hospitality.

Stunning vineyard with incredible wine; all in house and very looked after; I highly recommend coming here if you are after a beautiful English vineyard. Very good value for money, you get to taste 4 different wines and get a gorgeous platter of charcuterie. The staff is so friendly and attentive and really care about what they do.

I attended a tour and tasting this weekend. It was the best wine tasting experience I have ever done. Leigh & Tim who showed us around were really friendly, knowledgeable and had such a passion for what they do. All the wines were stunning and we bought multiple bottles to take home! I will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a wonderful day.
