Founded by Robin and Carolyn Butler, Trotton Estate Vineyards planted its first vines in 2013, featuring classic varieties such as Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay. Carolyn's vision also included crafting a still white wine, leading her to plant Bacchus and Pinot Gris. After three fruitful summers, the quality of their grapes became evident, prompting the Butlers to expand their vineyards in 2015. Their inaugural still white wine, Brilliant Bacchus with a hint of Pinot Gris, won a Silver Medal at the Sommeliers Wine Awards in 2017, a testament to their commitment to excellence.

After five years of dedication, Trotton Estate launched its first English Sparkling Brut Classic Cuvée, crafted from traditional French grape varieties and produced by two skilled French winemakers. This sparkling wine has consistently outperformed renowned Champagne houses in blind tastings, earning praise from customers as one of the best English Sparkling wines available.

We had a wonderful experience as part of a significant birthday celebration with friends and our four dogs who were made very welcome. The tour guides and group discussions were fun and informative. Our group had a range of tastes in wine, but we all found one to enjoy along with the cheese pairing, so of course we all bought some to take home. Thoroughly recommend the experience and the wines!

Fantastic wine tasting with a great guide. Was a birthday present for my mum, who loved it. Very knowledgeable guide and wonderful view. It's a small vineyard but a great day out with delicious wine.

The most incredible afternoon. Gorgeous views and superb wine. Clare was a lovely host and couldn’t fault one thing. A must have, who knew that English vineyards are just so beautiful

My husband and I were given a voucher for Christmas for a vineyard tour and tasting. We chose this one as it was the closest to where we live and we weren't disappointed. We were treated to a leisurely stroll through the vineyard and our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the vineyard and the wine making process. It was a lovely informal tour with a chance to taste the wines at the end in a relaxed atmosphere. The wines produced from the vines are excellent and we bought bottles of the 2017 white and the sparkling wine. There was no pressure to buy but after tasting, you would be hard pressed not to! Thank you for a lovely day out. I would heartily recommend it.
