Our family's journey into winemaking began after leaving the hospitality industry, fueled by our curiosity about the vineyards and the intricate processes involved in wine production.

Prime Location for Vine Cultivation

Situated on the southern shore of Lake Balaton in the Balatonboglár wine region, Kékajtó Szőlőbirtok is nestled in Kőröshegy, surrounded by the scenic Völgyhíd. Our choice of location was the result of extensive research, aiming to revive this renowned wine region. We are committed to producing high-quality wines from these fertile lands, focusing on grape varieties like Italian Riesling and Kékfrankos, which have consistently met our high standards.

Quality Wines with a Promising Future

Founded in 2015, Kékajtó Vineyard and Winery has grown to encompass nearly 10 hectares of land in Kőröshegy. Currently, we are restructuring our vineyards, harvesting from 4 hectares while we work towards our vision of producing outstanding wines. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our farming practices, where we combine our knowledge, hard work, and the natural energy of the land to create wines that truly represent our dedication to the craft.

Beautiful wines to match the beautiful panorama. All of this served in a family atmosphere, with personal conversations with the producers while tasting the wines. A great experience, I wish Miklós and his wife much success.

We are staying nearby and our hosts arranged dinner and wine tasting here. Miklos and gyongi are wonderful hosts. We had a beautiful meal and wine tasting, learning about the history of the wine and their background. The views are amazing and the wine is outstanding. An absolute treasure of a place

This one is not easy to write. I have been lucky and was at least to 70+ wine makers so far for wine tastings. For this one I was hesitant to write a recommendation. Difficult because on one hand I want Miklós and Gyöngyi to be successful (and I bet they will be very soon on the very top of wine makers of Dél Balaton) and on the other hand it is such an incredible treasure and treasures you don’t want to share :). Miklós took a lot of time to drive us through his wine yard and explain his philosophy. His wines are a very rare combination of absolute expertise - he and his wife know everything about soil, nature, grapes, etc. combined with an incredible heart and talent. What Miklos and Gyöngyi are creating is not wine, it is pure art - totally biodynamic art. From all my wine tastings I have done, this is the best one ever. I got really touched in my heart and it felt like I have spent the evening with a friend. Perfect food with the wine, great tour, great hosts, absolutely touching and clearly heart & art work! Thank you! We will come back again - for sure! Update one year later in August 2024: the view is still amazing, the hosts treated us as "regulars" and friends - and the wines are just getting better and better! Miklós is not only an excellent wine maker - he became a bird whisperer that evening :). and Gyöngyi added more exclusive food for the tasting. both of them very passionate and just amazing people and wine makers! Thank you - we will come for sure again, this time with the whole families!
