Lendwines Winery: A Legacy of Quality

Founded in 1891, Lendwines Winery is rooted in the Paller Family's rich winemaking tradition. After four generations, the family embraced a new vision by collaborating with fellow winemakers to establish Lendwines. This association of three young winegrowers in Lendava focuses on nano-viticulture, creating modern, boutique wines that reflect the unique character of Slovenia's Podravska region.

Nano-Viticulture: A Commitment to Quality

At Lendwines, each wine tells a story, crafted in small batches to highlight the region's history and natural environment. The winery employs a nano-viticulture approach, prioritizing quality and sustainability in their vineyards. This method allows them to produce premium wines from carefully selected parcels.

Traditional techniques blend seamlessly with modern practices, including the use of a 200-year-old wine press.

Natural and Organic Winemaking Practices

Manual labor and organic methods dominate vineyard work, with winemakers tending to the vines after their regular jobs. The Lendavse Gorice area is known for its Welschriesling and Rhine Riesling grapes, alongside Kerne, Furmint, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay. The high acidity of these grapes contributes to the balanced and distinct flavors of their wines. Aging occurs in old oak barrels and low-oxygen stainless steel tanks, resulting in approximately 15,000 bottles produced annually for wine enthusiasts worldwide.
