Take a Trip Back in Time at this Winery
The tale begins when in 1946, the Peri family shifted to Castenedolo from Visano, the southern part of Brescia. They bought a historical Palace, initially owned by Togni Family, and restored it into a family business of wine production. The ancient cellar of the winery has the most appealing entrance with a large staircase, covered with marble steps. You can see an old postcard in the cellar from the 1920s that reveals the long history of winemaking in the cellar. Peri Bigono uses large barrels and barriques for the aging of their wines and ancient jars to store lemon juices. Peri Bigogno Winery grows high-quality grapes, such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Marzemino and produces red and white wines. The company also delivers delicious sparkling wines, made with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc, under Talento DOC status.
