Al Rocol Winery, a Great Passion for Wines
Al Rocol is a family run business that revolves around wines with a cellar and an agritourismo. The winery is located in the Franciacorta wine region. From the beginning of the 20th century, the property has been run by Gina Castellini and her brother Isaac. In 1968, the company was solely on her until 1992, when her son Giovanni Vimercati took over, deciding to devote himself full-time to his passion of viticulture. Currently the modern winery is managed by the latest generation of the Castellini family, Gianluigi and his sister Francesca who have been able to bring a remarkable prestige to the winery, reaching important goals.
The Winery is Member of Consorzio Vini Franciancorta
The winery’s area reaches 34 hectares, of which 9 hectares are for grape cultivation. The winery grows grapes following the directives of the Consorzio Vini Franciancorta, of which the company is a part. The winery produces grape varieties like Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir. All their wines are made from the grapes grown in their terraced vineyards. The major production of the winery is the Franciacorta wine, which is a sparkling wine from this region. Al Rocol Winery is very proud of the wines they produce, as their wines have won various awards over the years.
