Al Rocol Winery: A Family Tradition of Excellence
Al Rocol is a family-owned winery nestled in the heart of the Franciacorta wine region in Lombardy, Italy. Established in the early 20th century, the winery has been lovingly managed by Gina Castellini and her brother Isaac. In 1968, Gina took full control, and in 1992, her son Giovanni Vimercati dedicated himself to the art of viticulture. Today, the winery is run by the next generation, Gianluigi and Francesca Castellini, who have successfully enhanced the winery's reputation and achieved significant milestones.

We were there for a wine tasting. We were given a warm welcome. The tour of the wine cellar was very interesting. The wine tasted very good and there were tasty snacks from the region in between. I can only recommend it.

My wife, Cristina, and I went there last week because we're campers, and I was busy taking exams for a competition in Brescia. We had a great time: grassy pitches, electricity, and loading and unloading. We didn't use the bathroom, but everything was very nice and clean.

What a gem! Incredibly nice and well-organized. This is a family business run by love 🧡 for craftsmanship and quality in every detail. Beautiful place, dedicated owners and employees. We cooked the food we ate to accompany the delicious wines. The best farm I have ever experienced! Thank you!

Thanks to one of the owners of this lovely agritourismo near Brescia, I got the awesome opportunity to visit them in April 2024. Chiara gave me an excellent tour of Al Rocol’s wine cellars and gave me an educational insight into the making of Franciacorta sparkling wines. What a labour of love this tasty product is! After the tour, I got to taste their wonderful wines along with a sumptuous plate of delicacies. The homemade bread, the refreshingly smooth olive oil, the dessert, the cheese … everything was top-notch. Francesca, the owner, made sure that everything I was served was vegetarian as per my dietary preference. What an excellent place operated by equally good people! The wines I bought from their vinothek were a great value and even greater taste. I wish I had stayed longer, rented a room in their lodgings and enjoyed their hospitality over a few days. Next time I am in the region, I hope to be able to do so.

Very recommendable place, owner Francesca was very sympatetic and helpful, due to an illness we had to leave early but we will definitely come back another time. Very tasty Franciacorta and nice surroundings as well.

Study trip around Lake Iseo. On the way back we stopped to visit and taste this beautiful winery. Excellent wine. I also bought some bottles of olive oil.

We stayed for a weekend with our Caravan, just to take a break while waiting for the next holiday, we had already been there and it is always a place we like to return to as soon as we can, not far from home. Everything was perfect, functional and clean bathrooms, swimming pool, excellent wine, Gianluigi makes you feel "part of the family", excellent dinner, with first class products, homemade casoncelli, but above all the risotto 🔝. Agrocamping area with 4 or 5 pitches = tranquility and relaxation guaranteed, in the morning sweet and savoury breakfast, fresh fruit, a pleasant and regenerating summer weekend, it's a shame to have to go home, until next time.
