Rouna Wine Estate, Since 1765
The Rouna wine estate is located around 1 kilometer from the village of Slap and is covered by beautiful nature on all four sides. The name Rouna was first entered in the cadaster in 1765 and still survives. The name goes back to the Austro-Hungarian empire’s land register. It is present near the Slap village, in the famous Upper Vipava Valley region. Even the renowned historian, Janez Vajkard Valvasor, wrote about the village in his work, Glory of the Duchy of Carniola.
