Wine from the Harsh Wilderness of McElmo Canyon
Nestling in a very remote region of Southwest Colorado, just 12 miles from the Utah border, between the Sleeping Ute Mountain and the sheer walls of the Battlerock, Sutcliffe Vineyards distills the magic of McElmo Canyon into wines.
One of the Most Awarded Vineyard of Colorado
Even in this harsh wilderness, Sutcliffe has garnered much acclaim, including multiple 90 points reviews and being named one of the top 500 producers in the U.S.
They proudly hold over 10 90+ awarded wines from the Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast.
With the continual obsession with the quality and authenticity under the supervision of Colorado’s most revered winemakers, Ben Parsons and Joe Buckel, the winery is able to maintain the remarkable reputation and stature. They remain committed to their passion and talent. Twenty years on, the vines are weathered and strong, the wines are more complex and the tradition continues under Jesus Castillo’s devoted eye.
