With locations based in both Healdsburg, California, and Denver, Colorado, Blanchard Family Wines is dedicated to the creation of limited production, hand-crafted, artisan wines, sourced from the top vineyards in the Sonoma Valley.”

After graduating from a liberal arts college in the Chicago area, Mark began his wine industry career. Meanwhile, James was stationed across the country, at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California’s Central Coast wine region. Mark would visit the wineries and vineyards in Santa Maria, Santa Ynez, and Paso Robles and educate himself about winemaking, eventually becoming a collector of fine wine. At the same time, James discovered the world of wine first-hand in California. And then, over a decade ago, Blanchard Family Wines was born over cigars and, you guessed it, fine wine.

The brothers procure an array of prime fruit and apply a simple but classic philosophy to their winemaking. A variety of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Rosé is cultivated to produce their delightful and familial red, white, and rosé wines. They allow the vineyard, varietal, and vintage to express their individual characteristics, applying at the same time gentle winemaking and guidance along the way.
