The Love Of Wine As An Inspiration To Build Winery From Scratch
The Tironui Estate is a family-owned boutique winery in the heart of Hawke’s bay with splendid views of Napier and Cape Kidnappers in the distance. The estate is relatively new and operates 5 hectares on the virgin hillside since 2002. The winery was established with a passion to enjoy drinking wines. The winery produces 5000 bottles a year with its unique characteristics. The winery only produces wines from their grapes which are aged in French oak barrels that give an edgy character in their wines. The wine is bottled using Diam enclosures, combining the traditional values of cork, with modern technology.
The Wines of Hawke’s Bay
The Tironui Estate is distinguished by prestigious vintages mostly made from Malbec that gives a softer smoother finish than many red grape varieties which are not so common grapes in New Zealand. The wines were able to get encouraging reviews now and then from the wine critics of New Zealand. All the work in the vineyard is done manually and carefully which allows making better quality final products. They currently have no cellar sales but are available for sale within New Zealand, Cambodia, and Malta through online platforms.
