Linden Estate Winery is a charming boutique winery located near Napier in the renowned Hawke’s Bay wine region of New Zealand. Their award-winning Chardonnay was the first wine to earn a medal at Linden Estate and is even served on Air New Zealand's business and first-class flights. Since the current owners took over in 2006, they have dedicated themselves to crafting premium wines that reflect the essence of Hawke’s Bay.
Linden Estate boasts some of the oldest vineyards in the Hawke’s Bay region, situated on the picturesque slopes of Esk Valley. Write a reviewThis is an excellent winery which was severely impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle in 2023. However, the rebuilt facilities are stunning and there are excellent staff who understand and care about the wines. Perhaps it is lesser known than some of its peers but it is surely not to be missed if you're in the area! Olivia, the duty manager, is personable and will give you as much or as little as you want in your tasting journey as you feel comfortable. Highly recommended.

Dropped in on a Monday on the off chance of a wine tasting, but the sign said closed. However there were people in the bar so we enquired personally. We were met by Olivia, the manager who was wonderful. Although they were officially closed she welcomed us with a big smile & offered a mini tasting just for us! We ended up buying a couple of bottles & had a thoroughly lovely time - thanks Olivia!!

Fantastic Winery, would definitely recommend to all. Olivia served us and was a very fun but super knowledgeable host. As a lover of complex reds I was pleasantly surprised by the Pinotage on offer here, something quite unique in New Zealand but sure to be one of my new favourites. The port also cannot be missed, one of the best I’ve tasted locally. All in all a lovely time, worth the trip!

Linden Estate is a beautiful winery with an amazing story! Olivia was the perfect professional, we immediately felt at ease and relaxed as she talked us through the wines and gave us some delicious recommendations for our time in the area. Don't skip Linden Estate during your visit to Hawkes Bay!

For a winery in the Esk Valley almost decimated by the Feb 23 Cyclone they have recovered well. The cellar door and bar area are modern spacious and trendy and this area leads to the outside with BBQ tables with umbrellas, a sculpture walk, games to entertain young and old and views across the Valley. They sold beer and offer tastings…. We tried six wines, liked all but loved the 2021 Gwertztraminer so stoked up, could have bought more but had other vineyards to visit. The staff were super friendly and the toilets very clean. Highly recommend.
