Established in 2000, the winemakers at Moana Park Winery challenge old winemaking practice with the hopes of producing wines naturally, free of allergy-inducing additives, and a pure joy to drink. Their fruit comes from their own vineyards dotted throughout new Zealand’s most prized winegrowing regions. Grapes are grown on a small estate owned vineyards where the workers use organic and sustainable methods, and there is minimal human intervention. They prefer to let nature determine the flavors of their wines. Production also focuses on the creation of wines that have fresh and vibrant aromas and flavors that reflect the features of their distinct terroir.

Winery Controls All Winemaking Processes with a Unique Approach
Moana Park is an authentic estate winery that grows, processes, ages, bottles, and sells all their own wines. Moana has a unique approach to natural winemaking, and they include technology to eliminate, fining, and additives from the wines. They press the grapes in a vacuum, meaning no ingress of oxygen, therefore lower or no sulfur is required. They filter some of the wines to keep them in the best condition in a bottle after bottling with their state of the art GAI bottling machine.

The main varieties of grapes grown at Moana Park include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The best grapes are used to make their high-quality red, white, rose, sparkling, dessert, and fortified wines. Their vineyards are located in regions with ideal New Zealand soils and climate lending to productive cultivation of vines and the production of excellent wines.
