Discover the characteristic wines of Colchagua Valley
The story of the Vina Ravanal winery in the beautiful Colchagua Valley of Chile begins in 1936 when Don Teodoro Ravanal began making wine on the estate. Today his work is continued by his son Mario who perfected the craft of winemaking in France before moving back to the family winery with his own family.
Vina Ravanal: where wines reflect the passion of the family
The wines of Vina Ravanal are produced in the winery, which is situated right next door to the family vineyards. The vines here are more than a hundred years old and give rise to the famous Gran Riserva, Limited Selection and MR wines. In the production of Vina Ravanal wines, all grapes are carefully harvested by hand. Following this the most advanced French technologies are used in the processing of the grapes, which are then aged in American oak barrels. Through this process the delicate grapes are transformed into only the most exquisite wines that are characteristic of the Colchagua Valley terroir and the philosophy of the Ravanal family. Each bottle that is produced reflects the passion of the family and the delicate work of the farm’s winemakers.

Winemaking experience for generations
The wines are known for being expressive, round with good body and for having a great level of complexity. The style of wine has been perfected over many generations and is mainly thanks to the characteristics of the vineyards. The Centennial Vineyards have a low level of production as the grapes ripen slowly, giving them a greater concentration. These grapes are used to produce the Gran Riserva, Limited Selection and MR wines which are sophisticated elegant and have excellent body.
