Viña Vik Winery

A very pleasant visit and tasting in the wine cellar, followed by a meal in the pavilion with a matching food and wine pairing. A lot of ambition and results. The price/performance ratio can be a bit expensive.

We toured the vineyard, did a tasting tour and hoped to have lunch there. The architecture of the vineyard is undoubtedly unique, as is its concept, its production and the unique touch that the owners want to give their wines through details... it's great. The tour and tasting are very well done, unlike other wineries. They take enough time to tell you special details about the vineyard and give you a complete and unforgettable experience, where all the staff, guides, etc. are very well trained and do an excellent job treating Chilean and foreign tourists with warm attention. The tasting itself, regardless of personal taste... 10 out of 10. Everything carefully put together and with the architectural details that the place offers throughout the vineyard, at the end you feel that you have paid what you deserve and that you have not been let down. We ate at Vik Zero, a fantastic experience according to its concept, which for many is the best restaurant in La Viña, very well served and with incredible food. Just to criticize the lack of kindness, empathy and generosity on the part of the host of the Vik Pavilion restaurant, who, seeing us without a reservation, hopefully deigned to show us the exit, and that the digital platforms for reservations (web) and requests (WhatsApp) are impractical and take hours or even days to respond. Although the hotel is of course an extremely exclusive hotel, you could also imagine a possibility for a tour of such a building.

One of the best winery tours I’ve ever taken. Our guide (Pablo?, I think, I should have written it down) was very funny, informative and oozed with passion for wine and the process. It’s amazing to hear the efforts this vineyard is taking to make this wine 100% Chilean from every aspect. The location is stunning, even without the buildings. But the design of them is beautiful and creative to allow light all year round and help keep things cool from the water feature out front to being below ground.

I visited the restaurant and the store to buy wine. The restaurant was perfect, from the service to the cuisine, the wine and the atmosphere. However, the store (retail location) had unfriendly, fast and uninterested service! I bought it anyway lol Because what matters… is the wine!

Excellent experience, we did the wine tasting and had lunch at the Pavilion. Both the tour guide and the waiters at the restaurant were very friendly and informative. Highly recommended, you will have to visit the hotel at some point.

An excellent place to go and spend some quality time with friends and your partner, enjoying the wonderful service of your hosts while they tell you about the history of Viña Vik. Its architecture and design are harmoniously connected to achieve a perfect intervention without having a major impact on the Valley. Its wines have an unmatched quality in body, flavor and enjoyment for any combination you desire! It is worth all the time it takes to get to the place.

We were greeted by Pablo, who already knew our names as soon as we walked through the door. From then on, the service was great, the explanations precise and the tour very leisurely. We got lucky that we had the place to ourselves - just the two of us and Pablo - who noticed that our tour was booked in English and separated us from the Spanish group. He even arranged a separate tasting, so the mixed languages wouldn't be an issue during our wine appreciation moment. The way the tasting itself is arranged is very educative: you take a moment to sip the wine before the aging process to get the raw characteristic of the grape and then the fully developed product. The wines are clear and strong, the result of cutting edge technology and attention to detail. We went to some wineries in the region (Rapel Valley, both in colchagua and cachapoal, besides Maipo Valley, San Antonio Valley and Casablanca Valley), but Vik was our favorite. I think Pablo made the biggest difference that day. Thank you for teaching us and being so attentive.

Although we stayed at the VIK Hotel, this review is about the winery, not the hotel. It is an extraordinary winery, with some of the best wines in Chile and a very well-led tour. The architecture is impressive and the decor is extremely tasteful. It is the only one, among dozens of wineries we visited, that produces its own barrels. Very interesting to see. The tasting takes place in a beautiful room.

We came to Vik for a tour and tasting. Andrea took us around the building for the tour, and it was the best tour we had in South America (during our trip we went to Uruguay and Argentina and have toured many wineries during that time). She was insightful, fun and would explain more when she could see we were interested in a specific topic. The wines were also great and we will hopefully find a way to get some home to RSA with us!

We enjoyed the tour and the paired wine 6 courses meal. Ricardo was an amazing guide through the winery and for the tasting. Very unique wine! Distinctive! I hope we can get some shipped to Canada! The meal was memorable too, great food, with the vegetables also grown on the grounds. Ricardo, Tamara, Karine and the rest of the team, thank you for such a fantastic experience! This was the best wine tour we ever had!

The place is beautiful. If you are in Santiago, it is best to schedule the visit for 12 pm to leave Santiago at around 9 am and have a peaceful trip. The landscape is beautiful 🤩. In September, the road was full of cherry trees in bloom. Very beautiful. There is no service during the wine tasting, so if you can, schedule lunch at the vineyard itself because the nearby town is very small and has few food options. The vineyard guide Andrea is excellent 😎. She gave the tour in Portuguese.

The hotel has an impressive hilltop location with stunning views in all directions. We enjoyed lots of delicious food and wine, with great options for vegetarians/pescatarians. The pool, gym, and yoga room were lovely, and included amazing views of the surrounding valley. I do think the hotel leans heavily on its "wow" factor, and would benefit from some improvements to service and room maintenance for an even better stay.

A beautiful, luxurious winery. If you are looking for peace and quiet and something special, then this is your place to be! The rooms are exclusively and creatively furnished. The wine tour is something very special. Young team and very accommodating. The wines are exclusive. See for yourself. Simply heavenly. The food is of a high standard!
