The Vinyes Del Terrer is a family-run winery present in Vila-Seca, next to Tarragona in Spain, just in front of the Mediterranean Sea. In 1989, the family started to recover the 7-hectare wine estate, and since 2003, they are producing terroir-driven wines with the idea of reflecting the unique Mediterranean terroir they possess. There is a considerable influence of the Sea, which is only 2 km away from the wine estate. The constant wines and the unique calcaric soil called lumaquela make wines with high freshness, fruity taste, and a deep minerality. Their main aim is to oversee the ripening of their grapes carefully and use them to produce their famous wines.
The estate comprises of 9 vineyards, and they are just 20 meters above the sea level. There are a lot of sunny days paired with irregular rainfall in August and September that provide ideal conditions for the growth and cultivation of vines. Their workers have a lot of experience and use sustainable methods that protect the natural environment and health of their vines. There is no use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides on their farms. The main types of grapes that grow here are the Grenache, Macabeu, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The workers handpick the best grapes and use them to make their high-quality red, white, dessert, and fortified wines.
The winery combines traditional values with modern and innovative techniques to produce the best wines in their cellar. Annually, Vinyes Del Terrer produces almost 35000 bootles of their wines that are loved both locally and internationally.
