The winery's name originates from a red sandstone cross erected by the founders in front of their home. Weingut Kreuz-Bauer proudly practices organic viticulture and is a member of the Ökovin association. Their vineyards span 5.5 hectares, primarily situated on mineral-rich Devonian slate soil mixed with clay. This unique soil retains heat during cool autumn nights, creating an ideal microclimate for cultivating flavorful grapes. The estate primarily grows Grauburgunder, Saint-Laurent, Bacchus, Optima, and Müller-Thurgau. The dedicated team handpicks the finest grapes to craft their award-winning selection of red, white, rosé, sparkling, and dessert wines, showcasing the best of the Mosel region.

Write a reviewWe spontaneously drove to Minheim. At Weingut Kreuz-Bauer we were welcomed very warmly, hospitably and openly. We felt very welcome. The room was small, but completely sufficient. The balcony with a view of the Moselle was wonderful (blinds available). The breakfast was varied, more than sufficient and there were fresh rolls. Anyone who needs tips for excursions is always well advised. Nothing was missing.

Very familiar, totally sweet and warm. The room was ready much earlier than expected, which made us very happy considering the bad weather. Everything was super clean! A huge highlight for us: fly screens on the windows and the balcony door. Terrific! The breakfast was completely sufficient for us. The eggs were freshly cooked as soon as guests arrived for breakfast. The coffee was very good for filter coffee. There is a wine fridge in the lounge. You are not allowed to serve there. You sign up on a list and settle the bill at the end of your vacation. We also stocked up on several boxes for home. The advice on the different wines was also very good. We will definitely vacation there again. Thank you for the great time! ❤️

A nice holiday destination, very good wine at very good prices. At Kreuzbauer everything is much more uncomplicated, everyone is very nice and attentive. There are free bicycles for guests, very nice rooms, like the panoramic room with a fantastic view of the Moselle. You can live here. The starting position for activities is ideal. We'll be back as soon as the opportunity arises! Highly recommended.

We have already been on holiday with the Schmidt/Simon family on the beautiful Moselle twice and have not regretted it. Family run and always friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, bright and friendly. We booked with breakfast and that was always good. Friendly people, nice barbecue evening, great tour of the wine cellars and delicious wine tasting with the boss himself, it is highly recommended 👌👏👍

We immediately felt well received and received a warm welcome. The rooms are in an immaculately clean condition. The hosts made an incredible effort. The breakfast was super delicious. The winery can be highly recommended.
