A Winery that Realizes Dreams

Weingut Maring-Prigge is a charming winery located in the picturesque Mosel region of Germany. Founded in 2021 by Florian and Corvin, two passionate wine enthusiasts from Hamburg, this winery represents a dream come true. With a commitment to quality and tradition, they have revitalized the estate, focusing on enhancing the quality of their wines while personally tending to both the vineyards and the wine cellar.

Winemaking Philosophy

The winery primarily cultivates Riesling, a grape variety renowned for its aromatic qualities and versatility. In addition to Riesling, they grow Pinot Blanc and Müller-Thurgau, while their red wine selection features Pinot Noir and Dornfelder. The winemaking process predominantly takes place in stainless steel tanks, ensuring the preservation of the grapes' natural flavors. Some wines are aged in a combination of new and classic old wooden barrels, adding depth and character to the final product.

We visited the Maring-Prigge winery in November. We benefited from a very exclusive wine tasting with delicious snacks. In a beautiful atmosphere and very private conversations, we were able to choose between great wines, all of which have a story. We are very happy about the hospitality of the entrepreneurs Maring and Prigge and of course we left with several cases of wine so that we can still enjoy it at home! Thank you!

Last Friday I was at the Maring-Prigge winery's farm festival in Neumagen-Dhron - and it was a thoroughly successful evening! The winery, which was taken over a few years ago by two career changers from Hamburg, not only offers a wonderful ambience, but also fantastic wines. I had the opportunity to try the Rosé off-dry, which impressed with its beautiful color and fruity aromas of strawberries and raspberries. The Riesling Hamburg impressed with its beautiful minerality and fresh apple notes, while the Riesling Shanghai caused enthusiasm with its harmonious freshness and fine honey notes. Another highlight of the evening was the great atmosphere created by the Trier band Pullman https://www.facebook.com/Pullmann.band/ has taken care of. They rounded off the evening perfectly with their music. All in all, it was a great evening at a winery that I can only warmly recommend. Thank you for the hospitality and great wines!

I can only recommend the wines to everyone, they are really great wines 😍 We wanted to take a look “behind the scenes” and were allowed to lend a hand to the grape harvest in high season. We received a very warm welcome and were right in the middle of the action. Even though there was a lot to do, the two boys still had an open ear and answered all the questions that were on our minds. You can immediately tell that people are working here with passion, keep it up 👍 We are already looking forward to next year when we can water our vine ❤️
