Andalusia's Historic Vineyard & Sherry Tasting Experience

Viña Santa Petronila Winery is located in the middle of the vineyard in the emblematic Pago de Macharnudo. It is one of the few wineries in Jerez not located in the city, but in the countryside. The old Casa Viña dates back to 1722; a cultural heritage site that preserves historic rooms such as the Gañanía, where the foreman lived, and the Lagar, where the grapes were pressed. It was renovated in 2010 and includes a Rural House with eight rooms, a Visitor Center "From the Vine to the Glass," and the Smallest Sherry Winery in the World. The experience includes a walk through the vineyard; a visit to the old Casa Viña from 1722; and a wine tasting at the Smallest Sherry Winery in the World. Four wines are tasted, including white wines made with Albarizas and sherries; all natural wines handcrafted, just as they were 100 years ago, unfiltered and en Rama. Santa Petronila wines are high-end and available only in restaurants and wine bars. The tour is led by the owners and winemakers themselves, who explain their project, the history of the vineyard, how they make their wine, and their life at the vineyard. They make you feel like a special guest.
