At Cantina il Passo, the focus is on crafting a single exceptional wine: "Alberi in Piano," an Aglianico del Vulture Doc. This family-owned winery has been a staple in the region for five generations, also producing high-quality cereals like durum wheat, barley, and oats, along with olive oil. The Grimolizzi family warmly welcomes visitors to their winery, where you can learn about their rich history and the unique process behind "Alberi in Piano."

Your visit begins in the charming Corte Della Cantina, followed by a guided tour of the winery. Here, you will see the wine production process firsthand in the cellar, where the family shares insights into each stage of crafting their award-winning wine. After the hour-long tour, you can enjoy a tasting session either indoors or outdoors. Savor a goblet of "Alberi in Piano" paired with a cutting board of traditional Lucanian delicacies and our exclusive “Alberi in Piano” biscuits. Don't miss the chance to purchase your favorite wines directly from the cellar.

Small winery rich in history, very good and award-winning Aglianico wine. We attended a tasting with a very fun and engaging show after the guided tour. The passion that this family puts into what they do is certainly one of the strong points of this winery!

We did the tasting on Saturday afternoon. We were welcomed into a familiar and friendly environment, where we were accompanied by the two owners through the centuries of their family's history. This journey unfolded in the tasting room and in their cellar where they produce their only wine, An Aglianico del Vulture DOCG awarded many times by national and international critics. A special wine, above all for all the precautions that have been taken in its production and refinement. I absolutely recommend you stop by to taste it and, perhaps, get some bottles.
